Rebecca Nicholas, clinic director and principle Chiropractor, at Back 2 Balance, Hove, gives her tops tips for surviving Christmas in a 12 day countdown – decorating the tree.
Decorating The Christmas Tree
Obviously you usually do the decorating with your kids. Put the Christmas music on, have mulled wine and mince pies, and enjoy the few minutes of household festive bliss. But they can’t put the fairy at the top of the tree nor reach up high enough for those difficult to decorate top of the tree moments!
Our Chiropractic Tips Are:
- To be careful of over-reaching especially with your low back. This is the key position where your back is at its weakest (relatively speaking).
- Take the time to go get a step ladder and do it properly!
- Lovingly ask someone to help give you a hand. Holding the Christmas lights up whilst you twirl them around the tree, or hand you up the Christmas fairy.
- Remember, as always, to tense your abdominal and gluteal muscles.
Any problems just gives us a call on 01273 206868 and my amazing team are always on hand, 6 days a week to talk to any struggling Christmas elf!
