Best Business Women Award’s Night
On the 15th of October some of the team went to the Wembley Hilton Hotel for the Best Business Women Awards Ceremony. The evening was a night to remember. Becky (clinic owner and chiropractor), Megan (osteopath), Anne, Delia (clinical assistants) and me Marie (digital marketing apprentice) all attended the evening.
The day started off with Megan driving us ladies down to the hotel which we were all staying in. We all wanted to get their fairly early so we had enough time to glam ourselves up and have a few glasses of bubbly. Becky was in Essex for the day at a Blue Cow seminar so she drove to us after. By the time Becky arrived us ladies were all ready to go. It was then mission get Becky ready. Both me and Megan were doing her hair whilst Becky was doing her makeup. It was a very quick turn around I must say!
Everyone looked stunning, we all scrubbed up very well 🙂
The evening started 6-7pm, however we were ‘fashionably’ late so unfortunately missed the drink reception. When we arrived we were taken to our table who we shared with a couple of Becky’s friends who were also contestants for the award.
We had a 3 course meal which was very, very tasty and lined our stomachs for a few too many glasses of wine we may have consumed. 😉
As the evening went on a lot of dancing was involved. They started off getting all the business owners up for a dance altogether on the dance floor. Some amazing professional dancers came out and gave a great performance, it got everyone in the room dancing. They even came to our table and took Delia and Megan to the dance floor to have a dance with them! It was so nice to see everyone so happy and all together as we all know the past year has been tough.
The night was full of so many laughs and smiles. The next part of the night was the AWARDS. We won SILVER. Well done Becky! Every business there were incredible and inspirational and all worthy winners.
Fundraising for the amazing charity the ‘Santa Maria Foundation’ was going on throughout the night. The awards night managed to raise £4500 which was amazing. The Santa Maria Foundation is a charity which helps young girls who have had difficult pasts. They focus on empowering them and restoring their self-esteem, providing them with a platform and confidence to advance in life.
Once the awards and the speeches had ended everyone in the room hit the dance floor. I can tell you now that my heals did not stay on for any longer than 10 minutes. We most certainly danced the night away. The amazing lady who ran the evening even awarded us gold for the best dancers there! hahah. We were the last people dancing, we didn’t want to leave.
The whole night was an amazing experience and bought us all closer together as a team!
